The Court presiding over the case of Sahara Reporters’ publisher and a presidential candidate who participated in the general election, Omoyele Sowore on Monday granted him bail.
Naija News recalls that Sowore was earlier arraigned before the court over alleged treason case that is not unconnected to the planned ‘RevolutionNow’ protest.
Femi Falana, SAN, Sowore’s counsel on Monday told the court that since the detention order has expired and application for renewal has been withdrawn, the court should make a consequential order and release Sowore.
He also said; “If the court wants him and I will produce him (Sowore).”
Falana said that the DSS was illegal and not the creation of National Security Act.
