3. Man Stabs Nurse In Kano State For Resisting His Rape Attempt
A man identified as Bashir Yahaya, who resides in Kabuga quarters, was on Monday apprehended by the Kano State Police Command for stabbing a nurse, Aisha Kabir, in the neck. According to the report, the 20-year-old man had stabbed the nurse for allegedly resisting his attempt to rape her.
4. Sanusi Resigns Amidst New Kano Emirates Saga
The District Head of Bebeji Local Government Area of the Kano State, northern Nigeria, Haruna Sanusi, has resigned his appointment. A report monitored on Daily Nigerian by Naija News, says the traditional leader cited “health ground and recent changes in the emirate system” as the reason for his resignation.
5. Kano Emirates: Wudil Indigenes Under Gaya Disagree With Ganduje’s Grouping
Wudil indigenes in Kano State have joined the reaction against the recently created four emirates in Kano state, appealing to the State House of Assembly and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje to revisit the Gaya Emirate under which they have been grouped. News Agency of Nigeria reports that Alhaji Yawale Muhammad-Idris, spokesman of the indigenes made the call shortly after a stakeholders’ meeting on Sunday in Wudil, headquarters of Wudil Local Government Area (LGA) of the stated four emirates.
