The Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, on Wednesday told the President of Senate, Ahmad Lawan, what to do for Nigeria.
He called on the Senate President to make the country more important than his party, the All Progressives Congress.
Melaye stated this while congratulating Lawan on his emergence as the President of Senate of the 9th Assembly.
“Congratulations once again Senator Ahmed Lawal. Make Nigeria more important and above APC.”
Lawan had won the election with 79 votes while his rival Senator Ali Ndume scored 28 votes.
The Yobe lawmaker was declared the winner of the election to the office of the Senate Presidency of the 9th National Assembly after he polled the highest number of votes.
