A 37-year-old Nigerian man, Shehu Bello Akharuku and his Cambodian wife, Kim Sreykouch, 24, have been apprehended for fraud-related offences.
Naija News understands that the couple is being detained in Prey Sar prison, Cambodia, allegedly at the request of US Embassy staff.
They were arrested on April 3, following a complaint from the US Embassy in Cambodia.
The police of the Counterterrorism and Transnational Crime Department of the Ministry of Interior, delivered the Nigerian man and his Cambodian wife and they are to appear before the court.
In a related development, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended seven internet fraudsters fondly called Yahoo Boys.
Naija News reports that the suspects were arrested by the operatives of the anti-graft agency at the Eleganza Estate and Paradise Estate along Lekki/ Ajah.
