1. Benue Govt Imposes 24 Hours Curfew On Katsina-Ala
The Benue Government has imposed a 24 hours curfew on Katsina-Ala town in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
Naija News learnt that the Chief Press Secretary to the Acting Governor Mr Ede Ogaba made this known through a statement on Monday in Makurdi.
2. Budget Padding: Saraki Replies Tinubu, Says Legislature Not Meant To Satisfy Individual Egos
The President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki has replied the accusations levelled against him by the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
In his response, Dr. Saraki urged Asiwaju Tinubu to tread the path of truth and dwell on facts.
3. Osun Gov’ship Election: Appeal Court Fixes Date For Hearing
The Court of Appeal in Abuja has scheduled hearing for April 24 in the appeals filed by the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola and his party, the APC against the March 22, 2019, ruling by the Osun State Governorship Election Tribunal.
Information about the hearing date is contained in notices sent to parties by the court’s Registry.
4. Nnamdi Kanu: Asari Dokubo Reveals Who Killed Prophet Nwoko
Ex-Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has accused the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, of killing ex-ally, Prophet Anthony Nwoko.
Naija News had reported that the cleric was murdered by unknown assailants last Sunday night at his apartment located at No. 18 Ezebinugwu Street, Ugbene 2, in the Trans-Ekulu-Abakpa axis of Enugu.
5. Buhari’s Administration Has Failed Nigerians – PDP
The major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday slammed the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, describing it as a “mass failure.”
PDP added that the ministers and agency heads have done nothing in the past four years, hence would not be able to turn in anything in their handover notes as demanded by the president.
6. Governor Bello Reveals Why He Can’t Work With Dino Melaye In Kogi State
The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has revealed why himself and Senator Dino Melaye, the lawmaker representing Kogi West district in the National Assembly, cannot work together.
Bello, disclosed they can’t work together because their ideologies for joining politics are different.

An elder statesman, Tanko Yakasai, has mocked the conviction by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) of former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.
In a statement to newsmen on Sunday, Yakasai maintained that the ex-CJN’s ordeal, prompted by petitioner Dennis Aghanya, was politically motivated.

The Femi Gbajabiamila Speakership Campaign has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC regretted leaving lawmakers to determine the leadership of the 8th National Assembly.
Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, are currently leading the 8th National Assembly.
9. NJC Removes Onnoghen’s Name From Membership List
Justice Walter Onnoghen’s name has been removed from the National Judicial Council’s members’ list, preparing the ground for a Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour, to emerge as the council’s deputy chairman.
The altered membership list of the NJC was observed on the council’s website at about 7.15pm on Sunday.
10. Comedian Wins Presidential Election in Ukraine
A comedian, Volodymyr Zelensky has emerged as the winner of Ukraine’s presidential election.
Zelensky, whose only previous political role was playing the president in a TV show, defeated the incumbent Petro Poroshenko by scooping about 73 percent of the vote.
