Reno Omokri, an online critic and former presidential aide has accused Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s president of his alleged plans to “keep Nigerians uneducated.”
Naija News reports that Omokri made this known as part of his reaction to the proposed budget for education in 2020.
Although, the N48 billion proposed for the ministry of education has continued to generate mixed reactions across several angles, Omokri is of the opinion that the budget for education would not be able to measure up to the deficiency in the sector.
The popular critic expressed that Nigeria is the world capital for out of school children.
See his tweet below:
By budgeting ₦48 billion for education (12% of what @GEJonathan budgeted for education in 2014), General @MBuhari is telling youths that education is not important. If you need a certificate, go get an AFFIDAVIT!
